In a Blink of an Eye

The lights went off.
I silently walked my way out
and looked at the star spilled sky.
The first thing I saw was the moon.
In a blink of an eye,
a shooting star crossed the velvet night,
and all I could think of was your face.

It was cold outside and I crossed my arms
to warm myself up against the freezing air.
I closed my eyes and made a wish as fast as I could.
And your face, and your mouth
and your words, and our worlds.
Your smell, your kiss, your look,
The sight of you.

The warmth of your embrace,
The laughs and the tears we shared.
Your hand on mine, the secrecy of our myth.
The legend we lived. The love that we risked.
The dare, the courage, the wispers.
The memories, the nights and days,
the prayers, the spells, the hopes,
the fairy tale, fantasy, the reality.

It all came to my mind.
And I wished for us to be together again
in bliss, joy, completion and love.
All in a blink of an eye

In a blink of an eye you came,
in a blink of an eye you were gone.
But so much happened...
Enough to make that blink unforgettable,
and you imortal in my heart.
